Chapter 7

1

HOW lovely are your feet in sandals, O prince's daughter! The elusiveness of your thighs are like the deeds of faithfulness.

2

The curved goblet of your navel must not be lacking in liquor. You belly is like threshed grain being turned in the lilies.

3

Your two breasts are like two fawns, twins of gazelles.

4

Your neck is as a tower of ivory; your eyes like the reservoirs in Cheshbon, by the gate of Bath Rabbiym: your nose is as the tower of Lebanon watching the faces of Damascus.

5

Your head upon you is like Karmel, and the hair of your head like purple the king binds in strands.

6

You are lovely and pleasant, O love, in deliciousness.

7

This your stature is like to a palm tree, and your breasts like clusters.

8

I said, I will go up like the palm tree, and take hold of the boughs, and your breasts shall be as the clusters of the vine, and the scent of your nose is as apples;

9

And the palated of you is as the best wine for my darling, that goes straight over muttering lips of sleeping ones.

10

I am my darling's, and his desire is toward me.

11

Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the field; we shall lodge in the shelters.

12

We shall go early to the vineyards; we shall see if the vine has budded, whether the vine blossoms have opened, and whether the pomegranates have flowered: there will I give you my affections to you.

13

The mandrakes give a scent, and at our gates are all manner of pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for you, O my beloved.
