NOW in the eighteenth year of King Yarov'am the son of Nevat, reigned Aviyam over Yahudah.
Three years reigned he in Yerushalayim. And his mother's name was Ma`akah, the daughter of Aviyshalom.
And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with Yahuah Elohayu, as the heart of David his father.
Nevertheless for David's sake did Yahuah Elohayu give him a lamp in Yerushalayim, to set up his son after him, and to establish Yerushalayim:
Because David did that which was right in the eyes of Yahuah, and turned not aside from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriyahu the Chittiy.
And there was war between Rechav'am and Yarov'am all the days of his life.
Now the rest of the acts of Aviyam, and all that he did, are they not written in the cepher of the chronicles of the kings of Yahudah? And there was war between Aviyam and Yarov'am.
And Aviyam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Aca his son reigned in his stead.
And in the twentieth year of Yarov'am king of Yashar'el reigned Aca over Yahudah.
And forty and one years reigned he in Yerushalayim. And his mother's name was Ma`akah, the daughter of Aviyshalom.
And Aca did that which was right in the eyes of Yahuah, as did David his father.
And he took away the sodomiym out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
And also Ma`akah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idolatrous Asherah pole; and Aca destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Qidron.
But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Aca's heart was perfect with Yahuah all his days.
And he brought in the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which himself had dedicated, into the house of Yahuah, silver, and gold, and vessels.
And there was war between Aca and Ba'sha king of Yashar'el all their days.
And Ba'sha king of Yashar'el went up against Yahudah, and built Ramah, that he might not suffer any to go out or come in to Aca king of Yahudah.
Then Aca took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of Yahuah, and the treasures of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and King Aca sent them to Ben Hadad, the son of Tavrimmon, the son of Chezyon, king of Aram, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,
There is a league between me and you, and between my father and your father: behold, I have sent unto you a present of silver and gold; come and break your league with Ba'sha king of Yashar'el, that he may depart from me.
So Ben Hadad hearkened unto King Aca, and sent the captains of the hosts which he had against the cities of Yashar'el, and smote Iyon, and Dan, and את Avel Beyt-Ma`akah, and את all Kinneroth, with all the land of Naphtaliy.
And it came to pass, when Ba'sha heard thereof, that he left off building of Ramah, and dwelt in Tirtsah.
Then King Aca made a proclamation throughout all Yahudah; none was exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Ba'sha had built; and King Aca built with them Geva of Binyamiyn, and Mitspah.
The rest of all the acts of Aca, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the cepher of the chronicles of the kings of Yahudah? Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.
And Aca slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Yahushaphat his son reigned in his stead.
And Nadav the son of Yarov'am began to reign over Yashar'el in the second year of Aca king of Yahudah, and reigned over Yashar'el two years.
And he did evil in the sight of Yahuah, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Yashar'el to sin.
And Ba'sha the son of Achiyahu, of the house of Yisshakar, conspired against him; and Ba'sha smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Pelishtiym; for Nadav and all Yashar'el laid siege to Gibbethon.
Even in the third year of Aca king of Yahudah did Ba'sha slay him, and reigned in his stead.
And it came to pass, when he reigned, that he smote all the house of Yarov'am; he left not to Yarov'am any that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according unto the saying of Yahuah, which he spoke by his servant Achiyahu the Shiyloniy:
Because of the sins of Yarov'am which he sinned, and which he made Yashar'el sin, by his provocation wherewith he provoked Yahuah Elohai of Yashar'el to anger.
Now the rest of the acts of Nadav, and all that he did, are they not written in the cepher of the chronicles of the kings of Yashar'el?
And there was war between Aca and Ba'sha king of Yashar'el all their days.
In the third year of Aca king of Yahudah began Ba'sha the son of Achiyahu to reign over all Yashar'el in Tirtsah, twenty and four years.
And he did evil in the sight of Yahuah, and walked in the way of Yarov'am, and in his sin wherewith he made Yashar'el to sin.
